Factory-applied condensation control bonded to your metal roof — DripX™ traps the drips before they start, with no vapor barrier needed.

DripX is a factory-applied condensation-control membrane — Central States’ brand of DripStop — bonded to the underside of metal roofing. When humid air meets cold metal and condenses, DripX traps the moisture in its felt pockets and releases it back as harmless humidity once conditions dry: no dripping, no rust, no damage, and no separate vapor barrier needed.
Why DripX Condensation Control
Built to perform — here's what sets it apart.
Stops condensation drips
When humid air hits cold metal, DripX™ traps the condensation in its membrane pockets — then releases it back as harmless humidity once things dry. No drips on what’s below.
No mold, mildew or rust
An anti-microbial polyester-and-rubber material that resists mold and mildew and keeps moisture off the bare steel — protecting your building and what’s in it.
No vapor barrier needed
Because it’s applied to the panels at the factory, DripX™ cuts a step out of the build — no separate vapor barrier, less labor at height, and faster jobs.
Proven & fire-rated
UL 723 approved for flame spread and smoke (for insurance) and field-proven for 15+ years in every climate — even rated for animal confinement, and it cuts up to 20% of rain noise.

Frequently asked questions
DripX™ is a felt-like membrane factory-applied to the underside of your metal roof panels (it’s Central States’ brand of DripStop®). When warm, humid air meets the cold metal and condenses, DripX™ holds those water droplets in its pockets instead of letting them drip — then releases the moisture back into the air as normal humidity once the temperature rises above the dew point.
No — DripX™ has no R-value. It’s condensation control, not insulation, and it solves the dripping and sweating problem on uninsulated or lightly-insulated metal roofs. You can still add insulation for thermal performance.
No. Because DripX™ is bonded to the panels at the factory, it eliminates the separate vapor-barrier step — saving labor and time on the build.
No — the polyester-and-rubber material is anti-microbial, so it won’t grow mold or mildew. It’s even approved for animal-confinement buildings, and it’s easy to clean with a hose or pressure washer.
Yes — it’s UL 723 approved for flame spread and smoke, extremely resistant to tearing, and has been used worldwide for over 15 years. Its adhesion actually improves with age, and it won’t void your panel’s substrate warranty.
